Once we’re gone and only our name rings in the hearts and minds of those who knew us, how we are remembered is often called our legacy. Career accomplishments, financial donations, community contributions, and the lessons we taught others will hopefully continue to have an impact on those who knew us — and even those who did not.
Each of us, if we take a minute to think about it, can likely come up with a list of people whose legacy impacts us today. So in honor of a few legendary men who have left an indelible impression on our society, we have created the Bold & Gritty Legacy Collection—four limited-edition candles and a new limited release coffee blend, highlighting Frederick Douglas, Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and John Lewis.
While the actions of these great men continue to bear fruit in society, we must remember that their legacies did not begin when their times on earth ended.
Their efforts, struggles, successes, failures, and even their deaths all play a role in how they are remembered. Although they may not have foreseen the depth of how their individual contributions would reverberate throughout generations, what they did see were opportunities to create a better tomorrow. With vision and strategy, they took a firm hold on life to fulfill their purposes and leave lasting legacies of courage, faith, and honor.
