Maverick is the founder and creator of Made By Mav Design Company. He is a Rochester, New York native. Through vivid and relatable imagery, he inspires others to do, “whatever it is that they want to do and to be great at it.”

Maverick is the founder and creator of Made By Mav Design Company. He is a Rochester, NY native. Despite growing up with limited access to creative resources and outlets, he developed a passion for sneakers and design. Mav channeled his passion into thrifting vintage clothing and learning the foundations of fashion design – ultimately building a brand focused on upcycled clothing and vintage 1 of 1 designed pieces. He works with local business and artists as a product designer. Mav stays true to his roots by creating designs influenced by his favorite childhood cartoons and sneakers – and the evolution of his creativity is apparent in his ability to design complete collections.
Maverick is committed to Rochester, NY and keeping the “Black Dollar” circulating in the local creative community. Through vivid and relatable imagery, he inspires others to do, “whatever it is that they want to do and to be great at it.” He credits his success to “passion and resourcefulness.” These traits carry him through any obstacle and help him keep a positive attitude. Mav is the definition of Bold and Gritty.
